Theater offers piano lessons

YOUNGSTOWN

The Oakland Center for the Arts, 220 W. Boardman St., is offering affordable piano lessons in correlation with its YOUnify youth theater.

The lessons will be taught by Stephen Cline, a local musician who has a master’s degree from Youngstown State University.

Rates are $20 per half hour and $30 per full hour, and scheduling is flexible. “There are plenty of opportunities in this area for youth to expand their artistic reach,” said Kristopher North, artistic director of YOUnify. “However, thanks to the grants from the Mukti Fund, we are able to offer affordable lessons to those who can’t typically afford the tuition, while still paying our teaching artists fairly for their time and talents.”

People interested in piano lessons should contact North by email at Kris@YOUnifyTheatre.org.
