Surgical robot on display at HMHP event Saturday

BOARDMAN — Humility of Mary Health Partners, in cooperation with Intuitive Surgical, will offer auto enthusiasts the opportunity to “test drive” the da Vinci surgical robot during the Fuel the Fight car and motorcycle show Sunday at Boardman High School, 7777 Glenwood Ave.

The da Vinci surgical system, which makes minimally invasive robot-assisted prostate, gynecologic and general surgery possible, will be on display from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Representatives from Intuitive Surgical and physicians who use the robot to perform minimally invasive prostate procedures in place of more traditional open surgeries will be available to answer questions and guide those interested through a hands-on experience using the robot.
