Eagle Scout to speak at fundraiser

Eagle Scout Alek Ball of Boy Scout Troop 44 in Poland will be a guest speaker at the Whispering Pines District 9th annual Friends of Scouting fundraising breakfast June 3 in the dining hall at Camp Stambaugh in Canfield. An additional guest speaker will be Wanda Clark, Principal of Williamson Elementary School in Youngstown speaking about how the Scoutreach program is working in her school.
The public is invited to join for this year’s theme, which is a memorial tribute to Robert Zedaker, George Grim and John Wolboldt that will celebrate their local impact in scouting and recognize their dedicated combined service of more than 150 years. Guests will be shuttled from the parking lot to the dining hall. This year marks the 95th anniversary of Stambaugh Scout Reservation, which includes Camp Stambaugh, Camp Akela and the Scouting Museum of the Greater Western Reserve Council. The museum will be open for tours after the breakfast.
