Callers harass Boardman pizza store employee after slow delivery

BOARDMAN — An employee of a township pizza business was threatened by angry customers because of slow delivery.

Police arrived at Italian Village, 440 Boardman-Poland Road, at 7:20 p.m. Thursday. According to a report, the delivery driver was diverted because of a traffic accident on U.S. Route 224.

After the delivery on West Boulevard, the business received the first of three harassing phone calls, including one from a man who reportedly said, “I’m going to come down there and kill you.”

All three calls came from the same number. Police are investigating.
