6 arrested after Campbell fight

Staff report

CAMPBELL

Police arrested six city residents, including four juveniles who range in age from 12 to 16 years old, after a fight on Memorial Circle.

The two adults — Marshayla S. Hackett, 19, and Kevinisha D. Wright, 20, both of an address in the 200 block of Coitsville Road — were charged with contributing to the unruliness or delinquency of a minor, while each of the juveniles was charged with disorderly conduct.

Hackett and Wright are set to appear in Campbell Municipal Court at 9 a.m. today, and the juveniles’ cases will be handled at the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center.

Police responded to the area about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday after receiving several reports of a fight in the area. Wright admitted she’d taken video of the fight, which purportedly began after one girl spit on another.

According to the police report, several pieces of fake hair were found lying in the street after the fight, but officers were unable to determine to whom they belonged.
