Turf selection made for new Boardman stadium

BOARDMAN — The new Spartan Stadium off Nisonger Road is one step closer to getting its new field turf.

Tim Saxton, director of operations for Boardman schools, said the stadium committee selected Shaw Legion turf as the surface. The same turf was installled at Hubbard's football field.

Saxon said United Civil Contractors of Hubbard will install the turf, and the company hopes to have it in place by Aug. 28.
