Band series returns to Stambaugh garden

The second annual Bands at the Baugh summer concert series will begin June 19 and will include four events.
The series is presented by Stambaugh Pillars to raise funds for the historic auditorium. Concerts will be on the third Thursday of each month, beginning at 6 p.m., in the Formal Garden, which is on the south side of Stambaugh Auditorium.
The $10 admission price includes a voucher for one drink at the cash bar. Kravitz Delicatessen will offer a variety of food for purchase.
Here is this year’s lineup:
June 19: Third Class, a quirky pop trio from Youngstown.
July 17: Howard and the Point Five Band, one of the area’s premiere R&B-jazz acts.
Aug. 21: SexyPigDivas, a Kent-based indie-pop duo that has drawn comparisons to Tori Amos and Radiohead.
Sept. 18: Cloud 9, a singing duo that performs classic hits.
