INDEPENDENCE, OHIO

Girl Scouts of North East Ohio and its board of directors celebrated the dedication and achievements of adult volunteers who give their time to help develop girls of courage, confidence and character in the Girl Scout Program.

The 2014 Adult Recognition Ceremony took place April 26 at the Holiday Inn Cleveland-South.

GSNEO has more than 8,000 active volunteers that play a vital role in Girl Scouting. They help girls discover themselves, connect with others and take action to make the world a better place. They help create lasting memories while becoming role models for the girls they lead.

Volunteer opportunities include troop leader, program facilitator, service unit director, event chairwoman or committee member, Girl Scout Leadership Experience Coach and board member.

The following honors were awarded to members of the East Service Area:
