Mahoning commissioners award street-improvement pacts

YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County commissioners this morning awarded contracts for two street-improvement projects.

They awarded the $66,491 resurfacing project on 14th Street in Campbell to R.T. Vernal Paving and Excavating Inc. of North Lima.

The other award was a $45,700 contract to J.S. Northeast Co. of Girard for Phase Two of the Pickering Street improvement in Milton Township.

Both projects are funded by the federal Community Development Block Grant.
