Master classes in dance at BWR
YOUNGSTOWN
Emma W. Rumberg, a 2010 graduate of Ballet Western Reserve, will return to the school this summer to teach upper-level classes in ballet and modern dance.
The master classes will take place June 11-26, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at BWR, inside the Morley Arts Building, 218 W. Boardman St., downtown.
Rumberg focused on classical ballet while at BWR, and she performed key roles in several productions, including Clara and the Snow Queen in “The Nutcracker.”
She furthered her dance training at David Dorfman Intensive at Gibney Dance Center, Bates Dance Festival at Bates College, Movement Research’s M.E.L.T at Danspace N.Y., Doug Varone and Dancers at SUNY Purchase and New York Summer Dance Intensive at Dance New Amsterdam.
The Ohio University graduate recently performed the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy for East Central Dance Theater’s production of “The Nutcracker” in Zanesville.
The deadline to pre-register for the master classes is June 4. For information, email info@balletwesternreserve.org or call 330-744-1934.
