Hollywood Gaming to have news conference on job recruitment

AUSTINTOWN — The Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course will have a news conference on Thursday on the Austintown racino’s recruitment and hiring process.

The conference is at 11 a.m. at the Hollywood Gaming Career Center in Austintown Plaza.

Mike Galle, general manager of the new racino that is expected to open in the early fall, and members of his executive team will discuss the specific details of recruitment. The exterior of the main building at the site off of State Route 46 is finished. Most of the work now a combination of the interior of the main building, the race track, the barn area and the water tower.

“We anticipate that the project will produce a total of 1,000 jobs that is both direct and indirect,” said Bob Tenenbaum.
