Two students receive YSU scholarships

Two students from Youngstown State University were awarded Women Retirees of YSU scholarships May 8 at Stonebridge Grille and Tavern, 1497 Boardman-Canfield Road. Each recipient received $750.

Recipients are required to be full-time YSU juniors, U.S. citizens, enrolled in a declared major degree program and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Paige M. Rassega is pursuing a degree in human resource management. She is a member of several campus organizations including YSU Student Government Association, Student Leadership Council and Diversity Council, and she is president of Enactus, an entrepreneurship organization. Her community activities include Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mahoning Valley, Junior Achievement and Relay for Life. She works as a peer mentor for the YSU Center for Student Progress.

Andrea L. Seguin is pursuing a degree in early childhood education. Her campus activities include the Catholic Student Association, Youngstown Student Educators Association and the Residence Hall Association. Her community activities include Habitat for Humanity, Collegiate Challenge and the Beatitude House. She works as an administrative assistant for Julian Electric and is a desk attendant for YSU Housing and Residence Life Department.
