Volunteer search on hold for missing Ohio student

CINCINNATI (AP) — The search for a missing Cincinnati college student who hasn’t been seen for more than a week has been placed on hold, a spokeswoman for his family said today.

More than 1,000 volunteers have helped try to find University of Cincinnati sophomore Brogan Dulle, Lewis said. The 21-year-old was last seen around 2 a.m. May 18 after leaving his apartment to look for his missing cellphone.

“We will not be organizing volunteer search efforts until further notice, as we have covered an extensive search area multiple times,” said family spokeswoman Laura Lewis in a statement.

Lewis said the family is leaving the search to the Cincinnati police, the FBI and the group Texas EquuSearch.

An FBI spokesman confirmed to The Cincinnati Enquirer on Sunday that it is helping Cincinnati Police in the search for Dulle.

Police say Dulle left his apartment without his wallet or keys, and they’ve found no evidence of foul play. Leads in the case have gone cold.
