Art show will feature women artists

YOUNGSTOWN
The 32nd Annual Women Artists: A Celebration! will feature 146 pieces of art by 68 artists. The show is sponsored by YWCA of Youngstown.
The pieces are original and include paintings, drawings, photography, sculptures, fiber works and ceramics.
A preview party will take place at 7 p.m. June 21 at the YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave. About $1,000 in prizes will be awarded.
The exhibit will be open for public viewing from noon to 4 p.m. June 21 through July 18, except for July 4, 5 and Sundays. It will be open Sunday, July 13.
David Shapira, a Niles pianist, will perform from 5 to 6:30 p.m. June 26, and Brenda Myers Cohen, a Girard freelance artist, will conduct a collage workshop from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 10. There is a $10 materials fee for the workshop, and registration is required by July 7. The gallery will be open for viewing during these events.
A youth art minicamp will take place from 9 a.m. to noon June 16 through 20, and it will end with a showcase party June 20.
Juror for the show is Edie Davidson, art department leader/art teacher at Boardman High School and art department adjunct of Youngstown State University. Cheryl Deibel and Kathryn Infante are co-chairwomen of the event, and Home Savings Charitable Foundation is the corporate sponsor.
