Canfield native Carolyn Ross was recently honored by New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, N.Y., where she works as an oncology nurse. Ross received the 2014 Clinical Nursing Excellence Award named as the Helen S. Tannenbaum Award for Heroics in Nursing. She was nominated by her staff superiors for her willingness to go beyond the norm for care of her patients. Ross is a 2004 Canfield High School graduate and a 2009 graduate of Cleveland State University.

Dennis Gonatas of Boardman recently joined Real Living Volpini Realty Group in Boardman. Gonatas earned his realty license from Hondros College in Westerville in March. Gonatas was a police officer for seven years, owned a pizza shop in Struthers and works in outside sales for Verizon Wireless. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Ohio Association of Realtors and the Youngstown Association of Realtors.

Aqua Pennsylvania recently announced the promotion of three managers and hired a fourth as part of restructuring of operations in the northern, central and western parts of the state. Steve Clark was promoted to the area manager of the combined Honesdale and White Haven operating divisions. Clark, of South Canaan, was previously the Honesdale division manager. He has been with Aqua since 2005. Steve Draus, of Drums, is now the area manager of the Roaring Creek and Susquehanna operating divisions. Draus previously managed the White Haven division. Draus has been with Aqua since 2010. Jim Willard, of Cranberry Township, now oversees the Shenango division. Willard recently joined Aqua after 26 years in the municipal consulting engineering service. All three will report to the newly appointed director of operations, Patrick Burke of Elysburg. Burke previously managed the Shenango division and has been with Aqua since 1992.
