Prosecutor: 9 indicted in synthetic drugs, bath salts trafficking

COLUMBUS

A prosecutor in Columbus says nine people have been indicted on charges involving synthetic marijuana and bath salt trafficking in central Ohio.

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said Friday that the indictments stemmed from sales of drugs to police agents in 2013.

Some of the charges include aggravated possession, aggravated trafficking, and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity. Arrest warrants were issued for all of the suspects.

Five of the suspects are from Columbus and two are from Hilliard. The other two suspects are from Westerville and Lewis Center.

The county sheriff’s office and agents from the State Highway Patrol and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement conducted the investigation.
