Decomposed human remains found at house

Police say badly decomposing human remains have been found in a Columbus rooming house and the man’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

A Columbus police spokeswoman says the owner and a maintenance person were at the house for a routine check late Thursday morning when they smelled something odd and noticed the body part. They called police.

The police spokeswoman wouldn’t say what body part it was or where it was found.
