Woman gets 5 to 15 years in prison for Pa. stabbing death

MIDDLEBURG, Pa. (AP) — A central Pennsylvania woman has been sentenced to five to 15 years in prison in the stabbing death of her husband’s elderly grandmother a year ago.

Jennifer Snook, 30, of Sunbury earlier pleaded no contest in Snyder County Court to conspiracy to commit third-degree murder and burglary in the February 2013 death of 71-year-old Bonnie Jean Snook.

The Daily Item of Sunbury reports that a judge accepted the pleas today and gave Snook credit for 460 days served since her arrest.

Her husband, 28-year-old Joshua Snook of Selinsgrove, pleaded guilty to criminal homicide last month.

Authorities alleged in court documents that the two went to his grandmother’s Beaver Township home in search of a gun after a bar fight, and the victim was killed and her husband injured.
