Fundraiser will aid Mooney senior

Cody Congemi, a senior at Cardinal Mooney High School, was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma stage 2B. He is being treated by Akron Children’s Hospital.

A fundraiser will take place from 1 to 8 p.m. June 22 at Pal Joey’s, 968 E. Midlothian Blvd., to help defray his medical expenses.

Many activities are planned, including a basket auction, 50-50 raffle, dunking booth, bounce-around and fresh corn on the cob. Entertainment will be provided by local bands.

Admission will be $5 and will include a burger or hot dog and fries.
