The new Fox series “Gang Related” (premiering Thursday at 9 p.m.) focuses on Det. Ryan Lopez (Ramon Rodriguez), a rising star in the Los Angeles Police Department’s elite Gang Task Force. Here are five other notable TV members of the LAPD:

v Sgt. Joe Friday (“Dragnet,” 1955-59; 1967-70): Jack Webb’s by-the-book, no-nonsense cop sought “just the facts.”

v Sgt. Pepper Anderson (“Police Woman,” 1974-78): Angie Dickinson was the sexy undercover cop working for the vice squad.

v Det. Sgt. Rick Hunter (“Hunter,” 1984-91): Ex-NFLer Fred Dryer played network TV’s version of Clint Eastwood’s “Dirty Harry.”

REALITY COMPETITION FINALES: All hail the victors! The broadcast TV season is winding down and you know what that means: It’s time to hand out prizes on several reality shows. Tonight, the parade of champions includes “Dancing With the Stars” (9 p.m., ABC) and “The Voice” (9 p.m., NBC) closing things out on a high note.

“AMC Presents: AN ALL-STAR SALUTE TO THE TROOPS” (9 P.M., CBS): Active-duty members of the military perform with country music stars in this special. Participants include Merle Haggard, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Toby Keith, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert.

First Night seeks performers

YOUNGSTOWN

First Night Youngstown is seeking performing artists.

The annual New Year’s Eve arts event will be from 4:30 p.m. to midnight, Dec. 31.

All performers will be paid.

Performers in all genres are needed, including poetry and children’s readings, juggling, clowns, bands, soloists, puppetry, mascots, comedians, crafts, street performers, impersonators, mimes and dancers.

Also needed are ice carvers and individuals with a horse and carriage.

All performances and activities take place in downtown venues, including 20 Federal Place, OH WOW!, Covelli Centre, Masonic Temple, First Presbyterian Church and the steel museum.

Memorial Day concert at Packard

The Packard Band will perform a free Memorial Day Remembrance concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at W.D. Packard Music Hall.

The musical tribute will honor the men and women of our Armed Forces.

It will feature the Packard Band with conductor Stephen L. Gage; announcer Thomas A. Groth; narrator Brian Sinchak; Highland piper Brian Crites; and Garey L. Watson performing “Taps” on trumpet.
