A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown Township:

CANFIELD

May 2

Telecommunications harassment: Kenneth Kuhn, 50, of South Raccoon Road, Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of telecommunications harassment.

May 9

Unlawful discharge of a weapon: Dustin McPherson, 35, of North Broad Street, Canfield, was arrested on a charge of unlawful discharge of a firearm. Investigation revealed no injuries and no ill-intent.

May 10

Theft, drugs: Heather Withers, 38, of Beaver Creek Road, Salem, was arrested on charges of theft, drug paraphernalia and drug abuse, and Judith Snyder, 36, of Maple Street, Canfield, was arrested on two counts of theft.

May 14

Contributing: Khalen Lewis, 20, of Lucy Street, Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

May 15

Warrant: Daisy Blewer, 18, of South Linden Avenue, Alliance, was arrested on a Canfield mayor’s court warrant charging failure to appear on a seat-belt violation.

May 16

Warrant: Joshua Garrod, 29, of West State Street, Salem, was arrested on a mayor’s court warrant charging failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Drug paraphernalia: Damecka Wilkins, 18, of South Linden Avenue, Alliance, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

AUSTINTOWN

May 12

Disorderly conduct: Paul Beck, 49, of South Raccoon Road, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct at I-80 Video, 5335 Seventy-Six Drive.

Theft: Sarah Krezzler, 21, of Hazel Drive, Northfield, and a male juvenile were arrested on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and receiving stolen property after theft from an auto.

Theft: Packages were taken from a doorstep at a home in the 60 block of Westminister Avenue.

Theft: Three items were returned at a value of $223.60; they had been stolen the previous day at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Aggravated menacing: Threats were made over Facebook at a home in the 5000 block of Tulane Avenue.

May 13

Theft: A wheelhorse riding mower was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Kirk Road.

Assault: A female was assaulted by an ex-boyfriend at a home in the 30 block of Idaho Road.

Fraud: A money-loan scam was reported at a home in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.

Warrant: John Allen, 61, of Phillips Way, Sharon, Pa., was arrested on a warrant charging failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Menacing: Menacing was reported at a home in the 90 block of Compass West Drive.

Burglary: A safe was broken into at a home in the 700 block of Notre Dame Drive.

May 14

Theft: An antique mower was taken from a home in the 2000 block of County Line Road.

Theft: Kenneth Porter, 62, of Martin Luther King Boulevard, was arrested on a charge of theft at Aldi, 5863 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: An employee is accused of theft of merchandise at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.

Burglary: Property was damaged at a home in the 30 block of Idaho Road.

Theft: Scrap metal was stolen from a pickup at a home in the 3000 block of Kirk Road.

Theft: A purse and wallet were stolen from an auto at a home in the 100 block of North Beverly Avenue. Both were recovered later by Liberty police.

Theft: $1,300 was lost in a scam at a home in the 50 block of South Roanoke Avenue.

Theft: A juvenile shoplifter was arrested at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Jessica Blauvelt, 31, of Crestview Avenue, Warren, was arrested on a charge of theft at Walmart.

Warrant: Macara Pullins, 35, of Westchester Drive, was arrested on a warrant for filing a false police report in Woodward Township, Pa.

Theft: A credit card and a license were taken from an auto at a home in the 200 block of North Edgehill Avenue.

May 15

Assault: Brett Nickerson, 20, of Laurie Drive, was arrested on a charge of assault.

Theft: A suspect fled after being accused of theft at Walmart.

Auto theft: A 1996 Ford FG-150 was stolen from a home in the 40 block of Evans Avenue. The theft occurred about a month ago, and the truck was recovered by Youngstown police.

Theft: A suspect has been stealing from Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave., over the past few months.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at a home in the 500 block of South Raccoon Road.

May 16

Drug offense: Aaron Hayes, 28, of Ward Avenue, Niles, was issued a summons charging possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and Adam White, 29, of Lamphier Place, Warren, was arrested on two warrants out of Portage County and Warren Township charging carrying a concealed weapon, escape, resisting arrest and felonious assault.

Theft: A bedding set valued at $280 was stolen at J.C. Penney, 6000 Mahoning Ave. Charged was Albert Alli, 38, of Nashua Drive, Austintown. He was released on a summons.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged by shopping carts at Walmart.

Obstructing official business: Lisa Popa, 49, of West Salem Street, Columbiana, was arrested on a charge of obstructing official business, and Adam Pierca, 35, of Lakeshore Drive, Cortland, also was arrested on a charge of obstructing official business. Both were issued summonses.

May 17

Burglary: All furniture was removed from a home in the 3000 block of Mahoning Avenue, a rental property.

Warrant: Jason Henninger, 35, of Pineview Drive, was arrested on a warrant charging failure to appear on a theft charge.

Criminal damaging: Damage to a vehicle was reported in the 80 block of North Raccoon Road.

May 18

Theft: Two purses were taken from an auto containing miscellaneous personal belongings at a home in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Criminal damaging: A window was damaged at a home in the 50 block of Kenmar Court.

Theft: Eight food items were stolen at Sheetz, 5499 Mahoning Ave. Charged was Michael Kohut, 37, of North Bon Air Avenue, Youngstown, who was issued a summons. Jamie Kohut, 36, same address, was arrested on an unspecified Boardman warrant.

Aggravated menacing: Threats were made at a home in the 4000 block of Westmont Drive.

Felonious assault: Gary Chapman, 64, of Crumlin Street, Girard, was arrested on a charge of felonious assault.
