Poland Village advances bond issue for November vote

POLAND

Poland Village Council gave the first of three readings Tuesday night to a measure to place a 3.2-mill bond issue on the November ballot.

Councilwoman Linda Srnec said the issue is a five-year renewal, so will not increase taxes.

“This is the major income for our town,” she said.

The bond costs the owner of a $100,000 home $94.08 a year.

In other business, council repealed a village law regarding bicycles, saying it was outdated and not compliant with state law.
