Officials: 12 E Block Gang members indicted; 10 in custody

BOARDMAN — Authorities this afternoon announced the indictments of 12 members of a West Side gang for various crimes.

The 12 who were indicted secretly last week by a Mahoning County grand jury are members of the E Block Gang, which is centered in the area around Evanston Avenue on the lower West Side.

A 20-count indictment includes charges of aggravated robbery, trafficking in counterfeit controlled substances, aggravated riot, felonious assault and trafficking in cocaine.

Ten of the 12 who were indicted are in custody.
