Kayla Cerimele of Canfield, a sophomore accounting major at Youngstown State University, has been selected to attend Ernst & Young’s Emerging Leaders Program on May 28 and 29 in Columbus.

Ernst & Young is one of the largest professional service firms in the world. The EY Emerging Leaders Program is a highly selective program that enables qualified students to develop an understanding of Ernst & Young’s culture and to network with EY employees and fellow students.

Cerimele has a 4.0 grade point average, is a member of YSU’s women’s golf team, supports planning for the Special Olympics and is involved in the YSU Williamson College of Business Administration Business Leaders Program.

The WCBA Business Leaders Program is a program for students who are admitted directly to their business major of choice and who are offered a variety of opportunities to increase their knowledge of business, accelerate their involvement with the business community, and enhance their professional preparation.

She met representatives from Ernst & Young at the annual Accounting and Finance Student/Practitioner Day sponsored by the YSU Lariccia School of Accounting and Finance.

Ernst & Young LLD offers assurance services, such as financial auditing, tax services and third-party consulting.

In 2012, Ernst & Young LLD was ranked No. 1 in “The Best Accounting Firms to Work For.”
