YSU contender is finalist in Oregon

PORTLAND, Ore.

Southern Oregon University president Mary Cullinan is one of the three finalists to become the next president at Eastern Washington University.

Cullinan was chosen as a finalist from a field of 60 candidates. The other finalists are Columbus State University president Tim Mescon and EWU provost Rex Fuller.

Cullinan has been president of the Ashland-based university since 2006.

Earlier this month, Cullinan was one of three finalists for the presidency at Youngstown State University. Trustees there selected Jim Tressel.
