The 2014 Annual Golf Classic Scramble will take place June 2 at Youngstown Country Club, 1402 Country Club Drive. The American Heart Association and event sponsor, StairMaster, will host the event.

The scramble of 18 holes will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The cost per person will be $250 or $1,000 for a team of four. Golfers will lunch at 11:30 and golf carts will be provided. Refreshments will be available on the course and awards will follow the play.

Team and individual prizes will include a cash prize of $25,000 for the first hole-in-one, which will be provided by Dr. Michael Burley and Joe Valvo, event co-chairmen. Other hole-in-one prizes will include a 2014 Cadillac CTS provided by Stadium GM and a $10,000 shopping spree provided by Adamas Jewelry and Gifts. A prize also will be awarded for closest-to-pin by Tele-Gold Inc. Jewelers of Boardman, and other prizes will be awarded.

WFMJ TV-21 is the 2014 media sponsor and gold sponsors are Aerolite Extrusion Co., MVI HomeCare, Prout Boiler Heating and Welding Inc. and Taco Management.

All funds raised will benefit the American Heart Association’s heart and stroke research and educational and advocacy programs in the community.
