Thankful Rae Stauffer, daughter of the Rev. Ronald and Linda Stauffer, all of Girard, and Thomas Richard Watson of Youngstown, son of Linda Rutkay of Columbiana and John Watson of New Castle, Pa., were married Sept. 21, 2013, at the Barn and Gazebo, where a reception followed. The bride’s father officiated at the 6 p.m. ceremony.
After a wedding trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple reside in Youngstown.
The bride wore an ivory lace gown with a sweetheart neckline.
Her maid of honor was Rebecca Kanche.
Bridesmaids were Jessica Brown; Julie Kuhn, sister-in-law of the bride; and Kristin DeToro.
Flower girls were Isabella and Lilyanna Watson, nieces of the groom; and Kylie Kuhn, niece of the bride.
The attendants wore various shades of beige dresses.
Dean Frederick performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Jason Van Rees, Michael Moore and Robert Bates.
Ring bearers were Thomas and Cody Kuhn, nephews of the bride.
Ushers were Thomas Kuhn and Travis Stauffer, the bride’s brothers.
The bride graduated from Youngstown State University where she received a bachelor’s degree in public relations and advertising and a master’s degree in social work. She works as a case manager for Trumbull County Department of Jobs and Family Services in Warren.
The groom works for the U.S. Postal Service in Boardman, where he is a letter carrier.
