Send information for VBS sessions

Lists of vacation Bible schools open to the public will run on the Religion page.

Please include the following information: the complete name of the church; address with city or township; time, date and location of sessions; program theme; ages or grades; and whether it’s free or there is a fee.

Information should be submitted two weeks before the school’s opening or its registration deadline.

Healing liturgy

NORTH JACKSON

A healing liturgy will take place May 25 at National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, with the Rev. Amedeo G. Guida of St. Cecelia Parish in Solvay, N.Y.

He has been involved with healing ministry for more than 20 years.

There will be confession at noon, liturgy at 1 p.m. and healing service at 3.

Sing-a-long set

LIBERTY

A Saturday night sing-a-long will be May 24 at New Life Christian Fellowship, 2088 Tibbetts Wick Road.

Coffee and snacks begin at 6 p.m. Kim Ruscitti will perform at 6:30 followed by the sing-along at 7.

Camp meeting

TRANSFER, PA.

A camp revival meeting is underway at the former Reynolds Drive-In, 3706 N. Hermitage Road, and will continue through May 31 with meetings at 7 p.m.

Accordion concert

YOUNGSTOWN

Mary Tokarski will present an accordion concert at 4 p.m. Sunday at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 421 Covington St., of Holy Apostles Parish.

Tokarski was U.S. Champion accordionist twice.

A free-will offering will be taken.

Spring conference set at Victory Center

LOWELLVILLE

Victory Christian Center, 3899 McCartney Road, will host a free spring conference, “Open Up The Doors,” from Wednesday through Friday.

Evening services will be at 7 p.m. all three days with morning sessions from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

Offerings will be received.

Pastor Lock P. Beachum, pastor of VCC’s Liberty campus, is Wednesday night’s featured speaker.

Pastor David L. Thomas, who oversees Victory’s eight campuses and is co-founder of the Legacy Kingdom Alliance, will preach Thursday evening with worship led by Bishop Robert Sterns, founder of Eagle’s Wings ministries and lead pastor of The Tabernacle in Orchard Park, N.Y.

Pastor Kathie Thomas, founder of VCC’s River Service and Esther Experience, will speak Friday night.

South African prophet/evangelist Andre van Zyl, Legacy co-founder and president of Good News to the Nations, will oversee morning sessions with Pastor Scott Ethridge of The Healing Place in Shreveport, La.

Memorial Day Mass

LOWELLVILLE

St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Villa Maria Road, will celebrate the annual Memorial Day Mass at 9 a.m. May 26 in cemetery hall.

There will be refresh-ments.
