Schedule change

Schedule change

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown Mayor John A. McNally’s “5 Minutes with the Mayor” will be at 5 p.m. Monday, instead of Tuesday because of a scheduling conflict.

Doors to city hall, 26 S. Phelps St., will open at 4:45 p.m. for people to sign in.

As the name states, visitors get no more than five minutes to talk to the mayor about anything. McNally has been doing this every third Tuesday since he took office in January.

A grand jury in Cuyahoga County indicted McNally, a Democrat, on Wednesday on 25 felonies and nine misdemeanors. He says he is innocent.

According to 21 WFMJ-TV, the Vindicator’s broadcast partner, Thomas stabbed Otis Hickson, 47, in the chest during a confrontation that stemmed from two students saying they felt threatened by Thomas. Hickson was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment but later was released.

Sharon athletic teams were using the Brookfield facilities for a practice through an agreement with the Brookfield school system.
