Gospel music festival at amphitheater

A gospel music festival will be Saturday from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at the Warren Amphitheater.

Sponsored by Hot Topix special-events corporation, it’s being called the first outdoor gospel music festival in the Mahoning Valley. “It’s a defining moment to promote the stopping of violence in Youngstown and Warren,” said Mike Forney, president of Hot Topix.

The event will feature local gospel artists and choirs, along with food and merchandise vendors. Featured acts include Emmitt Nevels, C. Lamont Brown and Praise Choir and Kenny Eldridge

Doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available at RBG’s Eatery in Warren, Ryan’s Chair in Youngstown and at the door. Call 330-406-9656.
