Queen of Hearts’ Tarts

Saturday, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.: For children ages 3-5. One of the Queen of Hearts favorite fruits is the strawberry because it’s red. Enjoy learning how to make your own strawberry tarts, sample tarts already made, and hear more about the Queen of Hearts and her court.

Veggie Gardening

Monday, 6 p.m.: Join the experts for a walk through the Iron Roots Urban Farm to learn about growing vegetables and farming for the season. We’ll plant seeds and have free seeds for participants.

Where: Iron Roots Urban Farm, Youngstown. Park at 822 Billingsgate Ave., just west of the farm.

Square Foot Gardening

May 21, 6 p.m.: Join the Trumbull County Master Gardener Volunteers for a free evening class.

Jubilee Gardens

May 22, 11:30 a.m.: Jubilee Gardens celebrates the opening of the gardens with a kick-off event. This is also the day Jubilee gardeners pick up seeds and plants for their use.
