TODAY

Holy Famiy Parish, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will serve cavatelli dinners from 3 to 6:30 p.m. or until sold out. Dinners will include two meatballs, sauce, bread and butter, tossed salad and cookies for $8. Cavatelli and one meatball will cost $5. Homemade pasta fagioli will be $5 per quart. Drive-through and takeout only. Place your order, remain in your car and dinner will be delivered to you.

THURSDAY

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Boardman, will sell beef tips and noodles from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. Takeout only. The dinner includes corn, roll with butter and homemade cookie. Drive up to the back door, place your order and it will be delivered to your car. For information call 330-758-3143 or 330-501-2104.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve the following meals from 3 to 7 p.m.: all-you-can-eat fried fish with french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; chicken with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; or shrimp with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage. Each meal is $8.50 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and free for those 3 and under. A fish sandwich with fries and coleslaw is $7, and a fish sandwich only is $5.

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Frozen pirogi also will be sold. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up starting at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available. Today is the last sale of the season.

Clare Bridge of Austintown, 1420 S. Canfield Niles Road, will host a benefit dinner from noon to 7 p.m. for the Alzheimer Network. The dinner consists of fish, macaroni and cheese, green beans, coleslaw, roll and dessert. Call 330-270-1448 for tickets.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available at 11 a.m.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato with cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday; no containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome. May 23 will be the last sale of the season.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 to 11 a.m. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

SATURDAY

Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., will serve its 15th annual Kentucky Mountain dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The meal comprises sweet potato casserole, ham, corn bread, creamed chicken and biscuits, green beans, bean soup, cobbler or derby pie and a beverage. Adult meals are $8.50 and ages 3 to 12 are $5.50, children under 3 eat free. Proceeds will benefit a mission trip.

Good Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market Street, North Lima, is having a pulled pork slider dinner from noon to 5 p.m. A rummage sale will take place from 9 to 5 p.m. The meal is to support Good Grief at Camp Frederick. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under. Good Grief is designed for youths ages 8 to 15 who have experienced the loss of a loved one. The week of camp is provided at no cost to the youths or their families. Winner of the 2013 Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Innovative Program Award, this program seeks to integrate therapeutic activities with the fun and challenges of the camping experience.

Reed’s Chapel AME Church, 1939 Jacobs Road, Youngstown, will host breakfast from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It comprises eggs to order, sausage, bacon, French toast, grits, home fries, pancakes, eggs benedict, poached eggs, basted eggs, omelets to order, grilled ham and cheese and crepes. Eat in or take out. The cost is $10 and is hosted by Mount Hope Veterans Memorial Park Inc. Proceeds will be used for upkeep and restoration of Mount Hope Cemetery.

SUNDAY

Ellsworth Presbyterian Church, 11171 Akron Canfield Road, will sell chicken-and-biscuit-with-gravy dinners from 4 to 6 p.m. They will include mashed potatoes, vegetable, dessert and drink. Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church Social Hall, 252 E. Wood St., Youngstown, will host a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will include two meatballs, salad, bread, butter, cake, coffee and tea. Adult dinners are $7, dinners for those 12 and under are $4.50, and extra meatballs and bottled water are 50 cents each. Takeouts will be available after the 8 a.m. Mass. Quarts of chicken noodle, barley vegetable and ham soups and vanilla and anise pizzelles will be sold.

St. Andrewes AME Church and its Stewardess Board will host its annual salad feast from 4 to 6 p.m. at the church, 521 W. Earl Ave., Youngstown. The cost is $10 each. For information call the church office at 330-783-3242 or 330-743-1139.

VFW Post 2799 Ladies Auxiliary will serve a home-style breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. The menu consists of eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea.

TAKING ORDERS

First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Church Hill Road, will sell 15-inch homemade pepperoni rolls, peanut butter cookies and chocolate chip cookies, and pickup will be 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
