A summary of recent criminal activity in Poland and Boardman townships:

POLAND

May 1

Harassment: A Four Seasons Trail man reported having been harassed.

May 5

Arrest: Police issued a summons charging 24-year-old Andrew Petrollini of Tuscany Drive, Poland, with operating a vehicle impaired.

Identity fraud: A Candywoods Drive man learned that his identity had been compromised.

May 6

Theft: A man reported $1,228 stolen from his Four Seasons Trail residence.

BOARDMAN

May 8

Menacing: Justin M. Seidner, 21, of Everett Avenue, Youngstown, was taken into custody at Boardman Area Court on a charge of menacing by stalking after an Erskine Avenue woman who was once friends with Seidner reported someone in a minivan had continually driven past her home, causing the accuser to fear for her safety.

Theft: A man discovered $400 missing from his car while at a Doral Drive business.

Auto theft: A 2001 Oldsmobile vehicle was stolen in the 200 block of Washington Boulevard.

Arrest: A vehicle-registration check near Midlothian Boulevard led to the arrest of Aaron M. McGuire, 28, of Wychwood Lane, Youngstown. He was wanted on a warrant charging failure to appear in court.

Theft: A woman discovered an oil lamp and other items missing from her mother’s residence in the 100 block of Overhill Road.

Theft: Two women stole three hair-extension items from Dollar General, 859 E. Midlothian Blvd.

Aggravated menacing: A township woman told officers a man in a car threatened to kill her as she walked across a parking lot at a Boardman-Poland Road fast-food restaurant.

Assault: A Canfield woman reported that as she pulled into an East Midlothian Boulevard gas station, a man on a motorcycle twice punched her face after claiming she had stopped suddenly in front of him and nearly caused an accident.

Theft: A man discovered a $110 smartphone stolen from his home in the 1700 block of Lealand Avenue.

May 9

Arrest: Police responding to a verbal altercation in the 7300 block of West Boulevard arrested 45-year-old Kevin J. Myers of Harvard Drive, Warren, on a probation-violation charge from Trumbull County.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle in the 8400 block of Market Street was found with a slashed tire.

Aggravated menacing: Authorities took into custody 19-year-old Brian R. Hileman at his Oregon Trail residence on a Beaver Township warrant charging aggravated menacing. The Boardman man was accused of threatening a woman with serious bodily harm.

Arrest: Officers conducting a vehicle check near South Avenue arrested Jayluanna M. Davis, 25, who listed addresses in Canton and on Berkshire Drive, Warren. She was wanted on a Canfield Mayor’s Court warrant charging failure to appear in court.

Menacing: A woman and a man each reported having been threatened by the other during an argument in the 100 block of Lemans Drive.

Theft: A 17-year-old township boy was charged in the theft of a USB cable and $43 worth of other merchandise from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Attempted burglary: Someone broke a side window while trying to enter an apartment in the 6000 block of Applecrest Court.

Domestic violence: Jedediah J. Hill, 29, of Cedar Way, Boardman, was charged with the crime after his girlfriend alleged Hill had shoved her into an end table, choked the accuser and punched her rib cage during an argument that apparently had started the day before.

Attempted burglary: Someone kicked in a side door in an effort to break into an apartment in the 3900 block of South Schenley Avenue. Damage to the door came to $500.

Arrest: Authorities assisting firefighters with a blaze in a wooded area in the 7300 block of West Parkside Drive charged 32-year-old Matthew A. Reisen with abusing harmful intoxicants, a first-degree misdemeanor. The Pittsburgh man was found unconscious with three empty cans of an inhalant next to him before admitting he apparently had passed out and accidentally started the blaze, firefighters told police.

Identity fraud: An Erskine Avenue woman realized someone had filed a 2013 income-tax return with her Social Security number.

Criminal damaging: A woman at Southern Park Mall returned to her car to find that it had been ransacked and that someone had cut the battery cables under the hood.

Theft: A Houston man staying at a residence in the 6000 block of Applecrest Court reported $200 and an electronic tablet stolen.

May 10

Theft: Ladonna M. Taylor of Hunter Avenue, Youngstown, was charged. Taylor, 28, was accused of taking about $49 worth of items from Walmart.

Theft: Breanne N. Lawrence, 21, of Oregon Avenue, and Samantha L. Gonzalez, 23, of Hillman Street, were charged. The two Youngstown women were accused of stealing roughly $329 worth of clothing from Sears in Southern Park Mall.

Theft: Hope R. Veglia, 18, and Scott A. Bailey, 25, both of North Shady Lane, East Liverpool, were charged with stealing eight cellphone cases, a necklace and other merchandise from Walmart.

Menacing: A Campbell woman reported her purse stolen while at an apartment in the 100 block of Lemans Drive.

Theft: Donna M. Filipowicz, 42, of North Meridian Road, Youngstown, was charged after $309 worth of clothing, including a men’s T-shirt, was taken from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: A man stole about $300 worth of groceries from Walmart.

Theft: Shamar J. Robbins, 19, faced a theft charge. Robbins, of Reed Avenue, Campbell, was accused of stealing from Walmart a $48 home-theater sound system.

Theft: Rochelle Holmes was accused in the theft of a $198 purse and $157 worth of clothing from Macy’s. The 55-year-old Kent woman also was wanted on a Stark County warrant charging failure to appear in court.

May 11

Domestic violence: Stephen A. Malysa Jr. of Roche Way, Boardman, was charged after his wife alleged the 33-year-old Malysa had pushed and threatened to kill her as he gathered various personal belongings at the residence.

Menacing: A Southern Boulevard man reported a tenant threatened to engage him in a fight after the accuser reportedly told their landlord that the man had tried to anger other tenants by intentionally creating excessive noise.

Theft: Lori L. Jackson, 38, of South Butler Avenue, Niles, was charged with stealing six pairs of women’s jeans valued at $562 from Macy’s in Southern Park Mall.

Drugs: Police near Mathews Road pulled over and charged 22-year-old Stephanie D. Rankin with possession of drug-abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia after alleging Rankin, of Cover Drive, Poland, had a jar containing 2 grams of suspected marijuana. Also found were a spoon with burn marks common in drug use and a package of papers typically used to roll marijuana, a report showed.

Burglary: To a residence in the 200 block of Shields Road via the front door. Stolen were prescription medications, a wristwatch and a 39-inch flat-screen TV.

Theft: A full 5-gallon gas can and a self-propelled lawn mower were removed from a truck bed in the 6200 block of Market Street.

Theft: Someone broke a car window at a business in the 4100 block of Market Street, then stole a global-positioning-system device, a laptop computer, a digital camera and other property.

Theft: Sara B. Volinchak, 34, was booked via phone at the Mahoning County jail on a township warrant. Volinchak, of Canfield Road, Youngstown, was accused of stealing a comforter and a set of bed sheets during a Sept. 23, 2013, shoplifting situation at the J.C. Penney store in Southern Park Mall.
