Niles man faces drug-trafficking charge

NILES — Authorities executed a search warrant today leading to drug-trafficking charges against a city man.

According to a news release, officials of the Trumbull-Ashtabula Group, a law enforcement task force, used a search warrant at 7:20 p.m. on an apartment at 6 E. Woodland Ave. Authorities arrested Tyrell A. Williamson, 36, on a charge of aggravated drug trafficking in a school zone, a third-degree felony. His apartment is near Niles McKinley High School.

Williamson also had an active warrant through Warren Municipal Court for fines and costs associated with a previous drug conviction.
