Boardman police arrest Cortland man on drug theft charge

Boardman police arrested a 27-year-old Cortland man for theft of drugs on Monday.

Victor Puente was arrested on the fourth-degree felony warrant in Girard.

Bazetta Township police had custody of him and he was then transferred to Boardman to answer the warrant.

He was taken to the Mahoning County jail. Puente is accused of stealing a women’s purse and driving off with it on May 3. Inside the purse were klonopin pills and Percocet pills, according to a police report.
