Campbell police charge two with multiple drug charges

CAMPBELL

City police arrested two Pennsylvania residents on multiple drug charges — including felony drug possession — after finding 3.7 grams of suspected heroin, 2.7 grams of marijuana, seven oxycodone pills, and drug paraphernalia, including hypodermic needles and spoons with drug residue, in their car.

David Eugene Christy, 28, of Dominick Lane in Edinburg, Pa., and Macey Leigh Ann George, 23, of Evergreen Road in Pulaski, Pa., will answer to those charges Tuesday in Campbell Municipal Court.

At about 2:30 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to an anonymous call from a business manager at the Lincoln Knolls Plaza, who had spotted a man and a woman "getting high" in a car in the parking lot.

When police arrived there, the car in question had pulled into the parking lot of a McCartney Road gas station. Police initiated a traffic stop after the car -- which also had an object hanging from the rear view mirror, obstructing the driver's view -- failed to signal its turn. A search of the car produced the drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Both Christy and George were charged with felony possession of heroin, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments. Christy also was charged with possession of marijuana, while George, the car's driver, was cited for the traffic offenses.

Christy and George are being held without bond at the Mahoning County jail until their court appearance.
