Firefighters are investigating a home explosion in the city of Columbus.

The Columbus fire department confirmed it had investigators at the scene of the explosion Sunday afternoon, but didn’t immediately release any other details.

A police dispatcher said at least one person was taken to a hospital. There was no information available on how badly the person was hurt or about possible other injuries.

Gas company officials also were investigating Sunday.
