Petco will host adoption event

Petco, 317 Boardman-Poland Road, will host an adoption event to benefit West Side Cats and Animal Charity from noon to 4 p.m. May 17.

The event is free, and both groups will have adoptable pets on-site.

There will be pet snacks and pets to cuddle, including Smootchie, the official mascot of West Side Cats.
