Library activities are planned


SALEM

Salem Public Library will have its monthly Stitches in Time for those who knit, cross-stitch, crochet, etc., from 6:30 to 8 p.m. May 21 in Room 23 of the Memorial Building, 785 E. State St. Take a project to work on.

Refreshments will be served. No need to register.

The library and Salem Parks Department are partnering to sponsor “Go Wild at the Park” programs.

Pizza Pots with green pepper, tomato, basil and oregano will be planted from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. May 24 at pavilion No. 9 at Waterworth Memorial Park, 866 Sunset Blvd.

Directions will be given by Dianna Mullins, master gardener.

This program is open to all ages and is free.

All materials will be provided, and pots will go home with attendees.

Wearing gardening gloves and old clothes is recommended.
