VFW will host fundraiser today

WASHINGTONVILLE

Washingtonville VFW, 575 S. County Road, will host an Italian dinner from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

The meal comprises homemade lasagna, rigatoni, manicotti and meatballs, salad, bread and butter, dessert and beverages.

Meals are $10 for adults and $5 for children 8 and under. Carry out and vegetarian will be available.

The evening also will feature a 50-50 raffle, door prizes, and basket and silent auctions.

Winners will be drawn at 7:30. Humane Society of Columbiana County volunteers will be on hand with information, T-shirts and pet items.

Acoustic music will be provided by John Branch.

All proceeds will support the Dexter Fund, which pays for the medical expenses, surgery and specialty care of special needs animals that are rescued by the HSCC.
