YOUNGSTOWN
Anny Carroll’s four hits included a double and she scored three runs for the Irish (15-5-1) at the Youngstown State University softball complex. Macey Gunther’s two hits included a triple and McKenzie Stimpert had a two-run single. Winning pitcher Makayla Shore added two hits and two RBIs. She struck out nine and allowing two earned runs. For the Magic (13-4), Riley Ries had a home run, a double and four RBIs.
Canfield 6, Poland 3
CANFIELD
Amelia Manenti homered twice and drove in three runs while Ally Sammarco added a run-scoring double for the Cardinals (14-5, 6-2 AAC Red). Darby Cockrell also drove in a run for Canfield. Kayla Troxil held the Bulldogs (15-5, 5-2) to just one run through the first six innings. Taylor Miokovic and Jenna Schettler each had two hits for Poland.
Lakeview 10, Niles 0
CORTLAND
Taylor Waid struck out seven and allowed only two Niles runners to reach base in Lakeview’s shutout win, which clinches at a share of the All-American Conference White Division. Caitlin McDivitt drove in two runs and had a triple for the Bulldogs (13-2, 9-1). Laura Innocenzi also had two RBIs.
Howland 2, Girard 1
NEW MIDDLETOWN
Hannah Kowach pitched a three-hitter and drove in a run as the Tigers edged the Indians in the Mahoning Valley Classic at Springfield High School. Sara Price drove in the other run for Howland and Emily Price scored both of the Tigers’ runs. Neco Maderitz hit a home run to account for the Girard run.
West Branch 7, LaBrae 3

Jeni Stewart’s three RBIs included a double. Allie Garrett also had three hits for the Warriors (13-4), Sarah Weber scattered 11 hits to get the win and Cate Metzger had two hits. For the Vikings, Morgan Meyer had three hits while Summer McCoy and Paige Losey had two apiece.
Edgewood 5, Struthers 1
STRUTHERS
Preshus Brown homered to account for the Wildcats’ only run in a loss to the Warriors. She also had a single. Burns pitched for Edgewood and struck out six while allowing three hits. Dana Wilkos struck out five and scattered five hits for Struthers.

Amber Ricci, Haylee Gardiner and Skylar Jones each had three hits to power the Golden Flashes (11-5-1, 6-4 AAC Blue). Ricci added a double. Winning pitcher McKenzie Zigmont struck out four. Amy Mikulich and Leah Leshnack each had a triple and Kimmy Cordy had a double for the Leopards (9-9, 4-6).

ORWELL
Ally Pykare had two hits for the Braves. Winning pitcher Katie Paskey and Abby Paskey each had two hits for Grand Valley (9-13).
Garfield 11, Rootstown 1
GARRETTSVILLE
Rootstown (4-10, 2-7) scored first and then allowed Garfield to plate 11 unanswered runs. Lauren Jones struck out three batters and allowed only three hits for the G-Men (11-1, 8-1). Shelby Baughman had three singles, a home run, scored three times and drove in four runs. Jones helped her own cause at the plate going 4-for-4 with two doubles.
