Man questioned after driving a stolen homicide victim’s car

A man was given a citation and released after being pulled over driving a recent homicide victim’s stolen car.
According to a police report, Matthew Abrams Jr. of McGuffey Road was issued two citations, driving under suspension and expired license plates, after being questioned by Youngstown detectives Monday.
The homicide victim was not identified in the report.
The victim’s brother called police and told them he was following his dead brother’s aqua-green Mercury Cougar, which had been stolen.
After coordinating where he was with police, officers stopped the car in the driveway of a home in the 1400 block of Lansdowne Boulevard.
Police took Abrams and a passenger for questioning after determining the vehicle was registered to the homicide victim.
The car was towed and checked for fingerprints.
