Austintown Fitch 10, Howland 6

AUSTINTOWN

Scott Pierce and Kyle Benyo hit home runs and Nick Heltzer went 3 for 4 as the Falcons ripped 16 hits to beat the Tigers. Alex DiFrancesco worked six innings and scattered six hits for the victory. Pierce, Dominic DiFrancesco and Patrick Gerberry each had two hits for Fitch. Kyle Watson and Zach Miner each had two hits for Howland.

Canfield 15, Twinsburg 3

TWINSBURG

Jimmy Leone doubled, homered and drove in two runs and Mike Sebes hit a three-run homer for Canfield (10-7). Alec Hammond pitched five innings and did not allow an earned run in the Cardinals’ rout. He struck out four. Luke Kelty with had three hits and six RBIs, David Shaffer had two hits and Joey Machuga had two RBIs.

Poland 10, Edgewood 1

ASHTABULA

Winning pitcher Pat Carlozzi had three hits to lead the Bulldogs (14-4, 7-2 All-American Conference Red Division). Two were doubles and he scored three runs. He tossed a three-hitter, striking out seven. Ricky Svetlak’s two hits drove in two runs and he scored twice. Corey Svatosky’s three hits included a double. Chase Knodle stole four bases.

Girard 10, Campbell 0

GIRARD

Winning pitcher Brian Leasure tossed a five-inning two-hitter, striking out six and walking three for the Indians (16-1, 10- AAC Blue). Christian Bello’s two hits drove in three runs. Zach Cochran had two hits and two RBIs. Jim Standohar and Kyle Harris also had two hits.

West Branch 1, Marlington 0

BELOIT

Kip DeShields tossed a two-hitter, striking out five and walking one. Jake Smith’ drove in the only run with a sacrifice fly. He also doubled. Ryan Adams, Kyle Ziegler and Jake Evanoff had the other hits for the Warriors (12-7, 10-2 Northeastern Buckeye Conference). Austin Hershberger and Jake Walker had the hits for the Dukes (13-7, 8-2).

Springfield 5, Ursuline 4

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Mark Shuler earned the victory in relief of Brandon Chamberlain. Schuler and Dalton Donachie each had two hits and two RBIs while Ryan Kohler doubled for the Tigers (18-4). For the Irish, Dion Felger had two hits and Tannery Berry, Drew Potesta and Gianni Quattro each drove in a run.

Cardinal Mooney 10, Notre Dame 5

CHARDON

Drew Beck went 4-for-4 with four RBIs and Andrew Armstrong added a pair of hits, as Cardinal Mooney doubled up Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin. Gino Divincenzo allowed all five runs, but earned the win for the Cardinals (15-2). Christian Lowery and Mike McCarthy combined to close out the win for Mooney.

McDonald 11, Mineral Ridge 1

MCDONALD

Garrett Mulrooney tossed a six-inning three-hitter, striking out eight and walking five. Brian Kelzer and Ben Carkido each had three hits and scored twice for the Blue Devils (9-7, 9-4 ITCL2). Cameron Ifft had two hits and three RBIs while Kenny Greaver had two hits and two RBIs. For the Rams, Nick Ferguson had one of the hits.

Niles 7, Hubbard 4

HUBBARD

James Tate had two hits and drove in two runs, and Cameron Carson had a pair of singles in Niles’ win over Hubbard. Tyler Srbinovich struck out three over five innings to earn the win for the Red Dragons (14-6, 6-4 AAC). Although he had trouble getting Tyler Taafe out, who went 3-for-3 at the plate for the Eagles (10-11, 3-9 AAC).

Jackson-Milton 8, Sebring 3

NORTH JACKSON

Eric Ostrowski pitched seven strong innings and went 2-for-4 with 3 RBIs at the plate, as Jackson-Milton defeated Sebing. The Bluejays’ star improved to 4-0 on the season. Nate Clark and Matt Johns each went 2-for-3, with Jones driving in two more runs for JM (11-3, 8-3 ITCL).

East Palestine 10, Crestview 3

EAST PALESTINE

Blaze Chamberlain singled, doubled and drove in three runs for the Bulldogs (8-5, 7-3 ITCL Tier 1) and Josh Fristik singled, doubled and scored twice. Alec Dumbauld struck out nine for the victory.

East Liverpool 21, Beaver Local 8

LISBON

Ryan Burson hit a grand slam for the Potters. Tyler Recktenwald and Aaron Bombich also homered. For the Beavers, Caleb Jackson doubled.
