The Poland-Boardman Child Care Center at Poland Methodist Church invited Grand Master Moon S. Park for a special program on Oriental martial arts training on April 7. Park taught the children lessons in Korean culture, respect, discipline, confidence and good posture.

Park has been involved in fundamental Oriental martial arts training for more than 50 years. He is a Grand Master of taekwondo, karate, judo, jujitsu, hapkiyudo, hapkido, hwarangdo, dahn and many others. He is the president of World Sports, Martial Arts & Exhibitions and U.S. Martial Arts Championship. He has also been an advisor at the Arnold Fitness and Martial Arts event in Columbus for many years. Park has trained thousands police officers, members of the military and security personnel, as well as football and ice hockey teams.

Park came to the Mahoning Valley in 1984 from Korea. 2014 marks the 30-year anniversary of Master Parks Martial Arts International. As part of Park’s 30-year anniversary special community work program, he has been teaching young people of all ages how to improve their lives through hard work and discipline.

Park is interested in teaching more than competitions, cage fighting, ultimate fighting and related disciplines. Believing that setting high goals through education is the only way to improve the community and economy for everyone,
