Amish toddler run over by family buggy

MIDDLEFIELD (AP)

Authorities say a 3-year-old Amish boy was flown to a hospital after he was run over by the family’s horse-drawn wagon.

Geauga County Sheriff’s Office Lt. John Hiscox tells The (Willoughby) News-Herald that it happened Wednesday in Middlefield Township, east of Cleveland.

Hiscox says the father took the boy off the wagon, which was loaded with wooden boards. The child had run under the wagon when the horses began moving forward, and he was run over.

Hiscox didn’t know how seriously the child was injured. There were no other details.
