Liberty Relay is May 16-17

The 2014 American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Liberty will be May 16-17 at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way, off Shady Road.

The relay starts at 6 p.m. May 16 with an opening ceremony followed by a dinner for cancer survivors provided by Bob Evans in Liberty. A luminaria candle ceremony is at 9 p.m. and a firework show, presented by Phantom Fireworks, will start at 10 p.m.

Teams will sell food and items throughout the 24 hours of the event and people are welcome to walk the track and enjoy family-friendly activities and entertainment.

All money raised provides local programs and services and funds cancer researchers.
