UPDATE | Warren police investigate apparent shooting death
WARREN — Police are investigating an apparent shooting death on Wick Street S.E. that occurred at about 11:45 a.m. today.
A resident of Wick Street told The Vindicator he heard about a dozen gunshots then found a male on the ground in the yard behind his house.
The witness said he ran to see if that man was OK and and "watched him take his last breath."
Police were also nearby on Brier Street questioning a man about an attempted robbery at his house at about the same time.
Police had placed five yellow cards on the driveway of the Brier Street location, apparently indicating shell casings.
Police continue to seek two males connected with the incident. One of the suspects is wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with another article of clothing with a light red color.
Police are also contacting the nearby John F. Kennedy High School and Willard K-8 school to be aware of the situation.
