Port Authority board to have special meeting
Staff report
VIENNA
The board of directors of the Western Reserve Port Authority will have a special meting at 1 p.m. today at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport.
An agenda for the meeting sent out by the port authority says the meeting will include comments from Chairman James Floyd and discussion of the Thunder Over The Valley air show.
It says there may be an executive session and other business, but it doesn’t indicate what those topics may include.
The port authority has experienced controversy in recent weeks, with one member being publicly reprimanded for an ethics violation, and a Mahoning County commissioner stating that he and his fellow commissioners are looking into dissolving the board.
Trumbull County commissioners also are seeking legal advice on whether they have the authority to remove Scott Lewis, the board member who was reprimanded.
