NAACP Youth Council meets aturday at the Boys and Girls Club


YOUNGSTOWN

The local NAACP Youth Council meets from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Boys and Girls Club of Youngstown, 2105 Oak Hill Ave.

The newly reorganized youth council invites middle-school and high-school youths to join. Elementary schoolchildren are also welcome to join.

Discussion topics will be the history of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the organization’s current activities, and activities city youth believe needs their attention. Fundraising and promotional activities for the group will be presented as well, in particular, raising funds for a trip to Detroit in August.
