Liberty men found with explosive canisters

LIBERTY

Police found five men with canisters of explosives after they responded to calls about gunshots and loud explosions Monday in woods near Sampson Drive.

A report said police arrived around 9 p.m. to find five men shooting at a target southwest of 5460 Sampson.

Police reported the men did not have permission to be on the property and issued them summonses to appear in Girard Municipal Court Tuesday.

The Youngstown bomb squad collected the canisters.
